    Diatomaceous Earth - Food Grade

    Also consider giving your dog, cat Diatomaceous Earth (DE). DE consists of fossilized marine life with a high silica content and honeycomb structure. DE has agricultural, industrial and household uses , it is also used as a detoxing agent for human and non-human animals. Use only food grade organic DE for your dog, cat and yourself.

    Benefits
    • DE rids the body of:
      • Parasites such as lice, ticks, fleas, mites and worms (DE is not effective on heartworm);
      • Harmful bacteria and some viruses;
      • Methyl Mercury;
      • E. coli;
      • Organophosphate pesticide residues;
      • Drug residues.

    As inoculations routinely provided to cats and dogs contain toxins, it is advisable to follow-up inoculations with a regime of DE.

    When you are adding DE to your dogs or cats diet I recommend adding more moisture to their food as DE will make your dog or cat more thirsty. You can add some fresh chicken stock, 100% aloe vera juice, rooibos tea, etc.  My dogs get all three liquids added to their meal once a day.

    Daily Dosage for DE

    • Kittens – ¼ tsp
    • Cats – 1 tsp
    • Small Dogs – ½ tsp
    • Medium Dogs (under 50 lbs) – 1tsp
    • Large Dogs (50 to 100 lbs) – 1tbs

    Daily Dosage for Aloe Vera Juice, Rooibos Tea or Chicken Stock
